The Roman Ruins of Volubilis, Meknes that was built by Moulay Ismail Sultan in the 17th Century. Have a full day exploring the oldest Imperial Capital of Morocco, Fes and drive to Marrakech through the lush plains to Marrakech.
Arrive at the Mohamed V International Airport. Your Morocco Private Driver/Guide will meet and greet you at the airport. Take the higway from Casablanca to the administrative capital of Morocco Rabat.
Please note that the drive from Casblanca to Rabat depends upon the time of your arrival, if it’s in the morning. Then, you will make a tour of Casablanca including the majestic Hassan II Mosque. A visit of the Mosque is worthy to really form an idea about real Moroccan and Andalusian architectures, the tour of the Mosque is from the exterior and interior with a local tour guide. Visit of the Ricks Cafe and a nice stroll at the Ain Diba Cornich.
DAY2: EXPLORING RABAT
The Imperial Cities Morocco Tour will first bring us to the first Imperial City of Rabat. The city is currently the administrative capital of Morocco, it was chosen by the French in 1912 as the official capital of Morocco. Rabat enjoys a unique ambiance and is full contrasts. We will visit the Oudayas Kasbah that overlooks Salé at the mouth of Bou Regreg River. The Kasbah was built by the Almohads (AD 1121-1269). The Almohad dynasty brought significant changes to Rabat and its area including the destruction and rebuilding of Oudayas Kasbah and turning Chellah into Royal Necropolis. Our Imperial Cities Morocco Tour will take us also to the Mohamed V Mausoleum, Hassan Tower, Chellah and much more. In the late afternoon, we will drive to our Riad located at the old town close to Oudayas Kasbah.
DAY3: RABAT – MEKNES – VOLUBILIS – FES
After breakfast, our Imperial Cities Morocco Tour will take us through the highway to Meknes. The city of Meknes is one of the Imperial Cities of Morocco that was built by the Sultan Moulay Ismail during his reign in (1672-1727). Upon arrival, we will stop by the beautiful Bab Mansour, stretch your leges at the El Hdim Square, visit the olive market. Then, the visit to the prison, which Moulay Ismail installed under the city of Meknes to house captured in the sea. We will include another visit to Moulay Ismail Mausoleum that was built in 1703. After lunch, we will drive north to the Roman Ruins of Morocco, Volubilis. Then to our final destination for today, Fes.
DAY4: FULL DAY EXPLORING FES
Today, we will spend the day exploring the cultural and oldest imperial capital of Morocco, Fes. The tour will be conducted by our local expert tour guide who will unveil the mystery of Fes to you. We will drive south to catch the majestic panoramic view of Fes. Then, the Imperial Cities Morocco Tour will take us to a medieval times world of Fes El Bali. Fes El Bali is listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site and is belived to be one of the largest car-free urban areas. Fes was founded by Idris I in 789AD and, later, was expended by his son Idris II. Our Fes Guided Walking Tour will take us to the majestic tanneries of Fes where dying leather takes place. The University of Al-Karaouine, which is the oldest continually operating unversity in the world. The Souks, Museums and much more.
DAY5: FES – AZROU – BENI MELLAL – MARRAKECH
After breakfast in your Riad, we will drive west to Marrakech, which is the fourth capital in the Imperial Cities Morocco Tour. We will drive the fertile plains through Azrou, little hills of the Middle Atlas. We will aslo cross Beni Mellal, which is the capital of one of the most agricultural areas in Morocco before getting the pink city of Marrakech. The drive from Fes to Marrakech takes around 7 hours but it’s very spectacular.
DAY6: FULL DAY EXPLORING MARRAKECH
After breakfast, we will spend the day exploring Marrakech and its wonders. We will get an insight into the landmark of Marrakech, La Kotoubia Mosque. The Mosque can be seen from different directions and was built by thye Almohads in the 12th century. Walk to the Saadian tombs, the Jewish Quarter, the Bahia Palace, the alleyways, the Souks, the Ben Youssef Medrasa, the Museum of Marrakech and the Square of Jemaa El Fna. After lunch, we will visit the Majorelle Gardens, Menara lagoon and Pavillion and a nice drive through the palmerais of Marrakech.
DAY7: FREE DAY
Today is a relaxing day for you. You may want to have another walk in the Medina of Marrakech. You may also want either to go to the Hamma or have a Morocco cooking class.
DAY8: TRANSFER TO CASABLANCA AIRPORT
Departure transfer to Casablanca International Airport.
