We will take a secondary road towards the Telouet Kasbah. We will drive through the heart of the mountains. Before getting to Tetlouet Village, a huge Castle is visible from afar. Even though most of it is crumbling, but you can see how wealthy the Glaoui family was.
The two Glaoui brothers, Thami and Madani looked after the Sulatn Hassan I and his army of 3000 in 1893. When the Sultan got back to Marrakesh, in return of their services, he gave them political power of Morocco’s south of High Atlas Mountains.

Ait Benhaddou Village, which contains a selection of architecturally beautiful Kasbahs, was built in the edge of a hill to serve as a watchful eye. It was built with the aim to guard the lucrative caravan route traversing the Atlas Mountains. Ait Benhaddou Kasbah got its fame when it appeared in the 1962 film of Lawrence of Arabia.
